![]() ![]() In Naoussa you can catch the boat from the harbour over to Kolimbithres/Paros Park and Lageri Beaches, several times an hour in summer. There are a number of water taxis that take people out to some of the beaches. We use and recommended Discover Cars for car hire. Many Hire cars are manual and it is best to get a small one as parking can be very tight in many places! Most places will deliver to your hotel in Naoussa and many have offices at the Port and/or can meet you at the airport. Hiring a car is highly recommended on Paros so you can discover for yourself the many things the island has to offer or even pop over to neighbouring Antiparos next door. They can usually be found at the Port for ferry arrivals but it can pay to book in advance by phone if you need one. There are a few Taxis on the island but they can be hard to get in Summer. Whether you’re staying for a couple of days or longer, I hope this guide has helped you narrow down your options for where to stay in Paros.There is a good bus service on Paros that services the entire circumference of the island and many of the interior villages. ![]() If you’re still unsure where to stay, you can’t go wrong with Lefkes Village! It’s affordable and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. One of my favourite beaches was Livadia Beach, I spent a few days swimming in the the crystal clear waters and reading my book there. In Paros, you’ll be greeted with gorgeous sandy beaches, fascinating architecture and an abundance of restaurants. Mykonos was touristy, expensive, and packed, but Paros offered a quieter, more authentic, affordable haven. I travelled to Paros from Mykonos at the end of May, and the difference between the Cycladean islands was immense. Paros is generally a quieter destination, although the best time to visit Greece to avoid tourist crowds is usually between September and May. Sometimes, the best holiday locations are those not everyone talks about. The Cyclades are great for island hopping in general, and if you pack the right stuff, you can spend well over a month exploring these islands. Just hop on a ferry from Mykonos and enjoy the boat ride there. YES- it’s convenient and safe to travel to Paros. Instead of white sands, you’ll find clay mud – but it’s a great excuse to spend the afternoon exfoliating. If you’re looking for something different and off the beaten track, Kalogeros Beach is a good choice. ![]() You can spend the day swimming in the clear waters, exploring the caves and relaxing. One of my favourites is Mini Santa Maria Beach, which is situated about 10 minutes from Nouassa. Paros has so many gorgeous beaches to choose from there’s a beach to satisfy everyone on this island. You’re more likely to escape the crowds and admire local life in Lefkes. If you’re looking for somewhere a little quieter and off the beaten track, I recommend heading up into the mountains and staying in Lefkes. You can easily find nice shops, restaurants and white-sand beaches in Parikia, too. It’s where the main port is, as well as where you’ll find most of the nightlife. Parikia, one of the main towns, is the best place to stay in Paros if you’re travelling on a budget. Unique for its clay mud, you can spend an afternoon exfoliating here. If you’re looking for something off the beaten track, Kalogeros Beach is a good choice. The best beach in Paros is Mini Santa Maria Beach, situated 10 minutes from Nouassa, far from the crowds. With a great mix of attractions, beautiful beaches, and restaurants, it’s the ideal choice for families when deciding where to stay in Paros. The capital city, Parikia is the final area on my list. Prices are more local in this area, so you can save money on accommodation and dining on your visit (think $3 Souvlakis!). Lefkes is a well-known hiking destination and ideal for anyone travelling to Greece on a budget. This little village is a popular resort location and home to some of the most stunning beaches. If you’re deciding where to stay in Paros for your first visit, head to Naoussa.
